Auburn officials say the 46.9 acre park, located at 1420 Shelton Mill Road, includes 2.5 miles of shaded trails with access to a creek, a playground for children ages 2-12, a covered pavilion, restroom building and an open playing field.
The park was made possible by donations from local philanthropist, Dr. Ann Pearson, according to a news release by Auburn Parks and Recreation.
Dogs are allowed in the park, as long as they remained leashed or unleashed if they are under voice control.
The park will be open daily from sunrise to sunset.
