27 News asked Harmon what the most important part of the event is.

“I think bringing the community together,” Harmon said. “You know, showing that I’m a very positive guy about Topeka, you know, have some satire things out there. But it’s one of those things where we can have an event and show how the community comes together and all about positive live music, food, trucks, vendors. You know, all the vendors are local vendors.”

27 News asked Villa about why having the Kansas National Guard at the event is important.

“It’s very important for us to be out there,” Villa said. “I think it’s important for the community to know that we support them 100% and our younger generations. And I think a lot of the younger people don’t really know what our benefits are, the jobs or opportunities, even if they decide to not go guard or army at all. But I think it’s good for them to have all that information and get to see a little bit about what we do, especially because the National Guard is stateside based.”

The event will be held in NOTO with a ‘Topeka’s Got Talent’ event hosted by Steven Massey and Harmon.

“It hasn’t been like really talked about too too much,” Harmon said. “But we’re going to highlight people that are doing things in the community that kind of get overlooked sometimes, you know, So the people that are actually putting boots on the ground and bringing that positivity and bringing those things that Topeka really needs.”
