Lanes back open on U.S. 280 in Lee County after multi-vehicle crash cause closures

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) — A two-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle has caused a lane closure on U.S. 280 in Lee County.

Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) say the crash happened at approximately 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The right westbound lane of U.S. 280 near the 132 mile marker is closed as a result of the crash.

It will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division were the scene investigating.

ALEA issued an update on Wednesday evening that all lanes were back open.
