3 injured in separate overnight shootings

INDIANAPOLIS – Three people were hurt in separate overnight shootings around the Indianapolis area.

The first happened around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near a Marathon gas station on North Post Road in Lawrence.

According to the Lawrence Police Department, officers found a person shot at the location. The victim was taken to an area hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police responded to IU Health Methodist Hospital around 1:30 a.m. Thursday and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

IMPD believes the initial shooting happened in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court on Indy’s northeast side.
