Man missing for nearly 7 months last seen on West Side

CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help from the public in the search for a man who officers say has been missing for nearly seven months.

Chicago police say 21-year-old Jaden Kinnett has been missing since Jan. 31, 2025.

Officers said Kinnett was last contacted on Jan. 21, and was spotted by family members 10 days later on Jan. 31.

Kinnett’s whereabouts remained unknown until he was once again spotted on April 21, 2025, in the 1800 block of South Komensky Avenue, in North Lawndale on the West Side.

Kinnett was officially reported missing on Aug. 15, 2025.

Authorities say Kinnett, who has brown hair as well as brown and light green hair, stands 5-foot-9 and weighs around 130 pounds.

A photo provided by Chicago police shows Kinnett with shoulder-length hair, though it is unclear if that is the style currently worn.

Officers say the missing man is known to have a nose piercing and a skeleton tattoo on his left forearm.

Authorities shared details about the missing man’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Monday afternoon, but did not say what he was last spotted wearing.
