CHICAGO — A search is underway this week for a man who officers say has been missing for more than two months.
Chicago police are currently searching for 69-year-old Fredric Coney, who has not been contacted since March 1, 2025.
Officers say the missing man was last spotted on Sunday, March 15, in the 7200 block of South Western Avenue in Chicago Lawn on the city’s Southwest Side.
Additionally, officers say the missing man is known to frequent the 5000 block of South Drexel Boulevard in Kenwood.
Coney, who stands 5-foot-6 and weighs around 175 pounds, has brown eyes and grey hair. A photo provided by Chicago police shows the missing man with a beard, though it is unclear if he had one at the time of his disappearance.
Details about the missing man’s disappearance were shared by police in a news release on Sunday, but officers did not say he was last seen wearing.
