SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned two charges against a Shreveport teen who is accused of stabbing his mother to death.
The first indictment charges Connor Johnston Lyons, 19, with second-degree murder in connection with the May 23, 2025 stabbing death of his mother, 55-year-old Lara Lyons, as she slept in her Blanchard home.
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s investigators said that after they read Lyons his rights, he told them that he was hearing voices in his head and stabbed his mother on the right side of the neck three times as she slept.
The second indictment charges Connor Lyons with two separate criminal counts: battery of a police officer and resisting an officer.
Connor Lyons is currently being held at Caddo Correctional Center with a $2 million-dollar bond.
