Free ice cream: Guinness x Van Leeuwen pop-up coming to Dallas

DALLAS (KDAF) — Two brands, Guinness and Van Leeuwen, have teamed up to create a summer indulgence: Lovely Day for a Guinness ice cream.

This limited-edition flavor combines Van Leeuwen’s ice cream with the flavor of Guinness mixed with rich chocolate chunks.

Inspired by the classic “Lovely Day for a Guinness” ads of the 1950s, the limited-edition ice cream pays homage to that same legacy while offering a new way to enjoy the brand during the summertime. The flavor is packaged in a custom carton, drawing design cues from this summer’s limited-edition Guinness Draught Stout 4-pack, available now on shelves nationwide, that reimagines the historic Guinness toucan art with a modern American twist.

Available now in 14 oz pints for $11.15 at Van Leeuwen Scoop Shops nationwide or online for $12, this bold treat won’t last long.

To celebrate, Guinness and Van Leeuwen are hosting sampling events across the country. Dallas locals can snag free scoops and mini pours at the West Village store (3699 McKinney Ave) on August 22 from 5–7 p.m.
