Vandals were seen in the back loading dock on Monday night at HVAC and Insulation Gurus
Employees discovered it all when they opened up and called the police.
Owner Lior Zeevi has owned the business for almost ten years and proudly displays nods to his Jewish heritage but has never been targeted for it — until now.
”It’s a scared, nasty act, very cowardly. I was disgusted really big time but it’s not something you expect, not something you want to see in the morning, obviously, the employees were scared,” Zeevi said.
The vandals wore all black and donned masks, and once done, they just walked away.
“It was so fast, literally maybe a little bit over a minute. They came, three guys, did it very fast, knew what they were doing, no talking, boom boom and out,” Zeevi said.
Zeevi says they’re waiting to see how much repairs will cost, but they had to rent new vans on Tuesday to continue work.
He says, despite the acts of hate, they will not hide their roots and persevere.
”Personally, I’m really not scared of them whatsoever, but I have a few other families to take care of, like the employees and my own family,” Zeevi said. “I want to make sure that everybody is going to feel safe. It’s 2025 and still people hate you just because of your religion, it makes no sense to me.”
San Jose police are investigating. If you have any information about the suspects, you’re asked to contact SJPD.
