The tour was led by Associate Athletic Directors Jason Booker and Brad Nachtigal, with Kansas Athletic Director Travis Goff accompanying them on the tour. Turner Construction project managers and architects from HNTB and Multistudio joined the tour as well.
“I think the vantage point from the north is fantastic,” Goff said.
Goff said 70% of the stadium’s capacity is all chair backs on the new side of the Booth.
27 Sports asked Goff if it’s still surreal when he sees the stadium, and he said he still doesn’t know what emotions he will have come gameday.
“It is absolutely inequivalently no idea how I am going to feel on Saturday other than some butterflies and a lot of excitement,” Goff said. “I have no idea what I am going to do on Saturday. I’ll probably just wander around and feel lost and just take it in.”
Goff added that it won’t SINK in for many of them until they see the team and fans experience it.
