NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — A narcotics investigation led to three arrests and seizure of a firearm and drugs including over 10 pounds of suspected Marijuana, police said.

Yesterday, during a traffic stop, police seized approximately 1.5 ounces of suspected Marijuana, a firearm, Drug Paraphernalia, and cash from a vehicle, police said.

Later on, a search at a hotel room located in the 2700 block of Center Street, where police uncovered approximately 10 pounds of suspected Marijuana, suspected Oxycodone pills, suspected Promethazine/Codeine mix, and Drug Paraphernalia were seized.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:

DaQuandre Mitchell, 24, of New Iberia:

• Improper Display of License Plate

• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
• Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS
• Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Qu’Wayne Baisden, 23, of Jeanerette:

• Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS
• Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
• Possession of a Schedule II CDS
• Possession of a Schedule V CDS
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Dannie Moore, III, 26, of New Iberia:

• Possession of a Schedule I CDS
• Felony Warrant – Lafayette Parish
• Felony Warrant – Iberia Parish
• Misdemeanor Warrant – New Iberia City Court
