Tournament teardown was officially underway Monday after thousands of people flooded the fairways for the three-day event.
“They took about a month to build everything and really start taking over places and pockets throughout the golf course,” said Betsy Henke Garfield with Henke Development Group
“It takes a couple of weeks to get everything broken down and out of here.”
Once all the activations are disassembled, owners of the course said that assessing the storm damage is their top priority.
A major storm passed through mid-tournament, but that didn’t hinder all the action.
“We had trees all over the fairways and cart paths and pedestrian areas,” said Henke Garfield.
“I think our team was working from about two or three in the morning until people started arriving, to clean that all up.”
With all the foot traffic, they will also focus on regrowing the grass along the course.
“It’s not something that you think, oh, people are going to leave foot marks on this, you go into it knowing that’s going to happen, but knowing that what came out of it is just priceless,” she said.
Around 60,000 people attended over the three days to watch the 54 pro golfers go tee to tee.
LIV Indy marks the largest domestic LIV tournament thus far.
“You look up 18, and it’s surrounded by thousands of people, and then it goes into a playoff,” said Henke Garfield.
“That was just something that was so surreal.”
The up-and-coming golf league has already announced its return for August 2026.
“This is what we do. We love sports. We’ll ride the highs, we’ll ride the lows, we’ll cheer through it. It was unbelievable,” she said.
