“The Twin,” adapted from the 2016 short “The Hangman,” follows Nicholas, a father who is grieving the loss of his son while wrestling with visions of his “fetch.” In Irish folklore, a fetch is a supernatural doppelganger that foreshadows the impending death of the person who sees it.
“This is a powerful full-circle moment for the filmmakers and our creative community,” said RFC Executive Director Wendell Riley. “Louisiana Film Prize gives a platform to so many aspiring filmmakers, and to have a story that started at LAFP and is now a feature film that has been acquired for distribution is truly special. It’s a win for all of us.”
The RFC will have showtimes for the film all week, but the special screening will take place on Tuesday, August 19, at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting robinsonfilmcenter.org/#/twin/ or contacting the box office at 318-459-4122.
