Burglars execute smash-and-grab robbery at Foot Locker store in Englewood, according to Chicago police

CHICAGO — Burglars executed a smash-and-grab robbery at a Foot Locker store on the city’s South Side early Tuesday morning, according to Chicago police.

Police say the burglars crashed a vehicle into the business, located in the 6900 block of South Ashland Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood, around 4:45 a.m.

The burglars then entered the store and stole merchandise before getting back into the vehicle and fleeing in an unknown direction, with two other vehicles following, according to police.

Police say nobody is in custody, and no injuries were reported. Detectives are investigating.
