TREMONTON, Utah (
ABC4) — Footage obtained by ABC4 shows the moment police breached a home in Tremonton after a shootout with a suspect took the lives of two officers.
Just after 9 p.m. Sunday evening, police responded to a domestic disturbance. Two officers with the Tremonton Garland Police Department who responded to the incident were shot and killed
shortly after arriving.
ABC4 spoke with Kevin Richards who was nearby during the incident and was able to capture the moment police breached the home during the incident.

“It makes me sad, because I just met a handful of [officers] at the softball versus the fire department game at the Tremonton heydays literally a couple of weeks ago,” Richards, a neighbor of the residence, said.
A deputy with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene and received fire from the suspect. The deputy and a service dog were both hit by gunfire and transported to a nearby hospital.
Brigham City Police says the deputy has since been released from the hospital and the service dog is being kept at a veterinary clinic as a precaution.
