In the first half of August, the Twin Lakes area has seen considerably hot and dry temperatures with heat indexes exceeding 100 degrees and no measurable rainfall in the first half of the month. While it’s important to stay hydrated, it’s also important to hydrate our plants.
Vicki Garner, host of Gardening in the Ozarks on KTLO FM 97.9, wanted to emphasize that it’s better for us, as well as our plants, if we take care of watering earlier in the morning.
