Skeosha Faulkenberry was shopping with her family for college move-in items when she discovered her keys and phone were missing. Her phone was later found on the floor in the hardware section, but her keys were gone, leading to the theft of her truck.
“‘The truck is gone.’ I say, ‘Somebody took the truck,” said Faulkenberry.
Surveillance cameras at Walmart captured images of the suspects believed to be involved in the theft. Police suspect the group was lingering in the parking lot before the incident occurred.
Faulkenberry expressed her concern about the possibility of being watched inside the store.
“That’s scary to even think that, you know, someone was actually, you know, watching this,” she said.
Her family has shared the surveillance pictures online and is offering a reward for information leading to the recovery of the vehicle.
“Somebody has to know something,” Faulkenberry said, noting her father’s offer of a reward on Facebook.
Ville Platte police are actively investigating the case and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward. The Faulkenberry family hopes for the safe return of their vehicle.
