5 police cruisers struck during pursuit of wanted car in Capitol Heights, police say

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A police pursuit in Capitol Heights ended with five cruisers damaged Saturday evening, authorities said.

Details remain limited; however the Prince George’s County Police Department told DC News Now that officers began pursuing a wanted vehicle in the area of Old Central Avenue and Larchmont Avenue just minutes after 6 p.m.

During the chase, five PGPD cruisers were hit, according to police. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Officers took one person into custody at the scene. At this time, it is unclear what the person was wanted for or what charges they may be facing.
