Sunday Wake-Up Weather: Rain chances and cooler temperatures in the forecast

Summary: Heading into the new work week, as the high pressure that has been bringing warmer temperatures to us shifts to the west, it leaves the door open for disturbances to move in and bring us rain. Not only will we see that but also a front move in bringing in higher rain chances and below average temperatures allowing for us to end with a cooler and wetter conditions.

Today: This morning we’ll start a bit above average at 77 degrees with calm winds and partly sunny skies. Heading into the afternoon we’ll quickly increase to 90 before topping off at 97 for the day. Heat index will be around 101 due to lingering moisture. Rain chances will pop into the forecast heading into the afternoon with a 20% chance.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 78 degrees, winds will be out of the SSE at 5-10 MPH.
