Expect delays on Airline Drive in Bossier Parish this weekend

BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Drivers in north Bossier Parish should expect delays this weekend as crews begin overlay work on Airline Drive, according to the Bossier Parish Police Jury.

Starting Saturday, August 16th, contractors will resurface Airline Drive between Kingston Road and Linton Road. Additional overlay work will also take place on Linton Road, from Airline Drive to the Flat River Road bridge.

The work is scheduled for Saturday, Monday, and possibly Tuesday, depending on weather and progress. Flagmen will direct traffic and motorists should expect lane closures and slow-moving vehicles throughout the area.

“This is a high-traffic area, and we’re asking drivers to be patient and cautious while crews complete this important work,” a Police Jury spokesperson said. “These improvements will enhance safety and extend the life of the roadway.”

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or allow extra travel time during the project.
