Crews extinguish fire after several cars ignite in parking lot

GARLAND, Utah (ABC4) — Five cars caught fire in a parking lot of Lake Shore Learning Factory in Garland.

According to the Garland Fire Department, the incident happened before 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Crews responded to an emergency call reporting a vehicle on fire in a parking lot.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel said multiple vehicles were involved in the fire in the parking lot

Due to the rapid increase of flames, Tremonton Garland Police Department, Garland Fire Department, and Tremonton Fire Department were all dispatched and responded to the incident.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames, which successfully prevented additional vehicles or facilities in the area to catch fire.

Five cars were involved but only three suffered extensive damage. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
