Around 9:39 p.m., SMPD officers were notified about a report of a package theft in an area of apartment buildings on Station Park Circle. According to SMPD, the two suspects were seen walking near Garvey Way and S Delaware Street where officers then arrested them. They were both booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
The woman was identified as 34-year-old Talia George. According to county jail records, George’s bail is set at a total of $45,000. The man was identified as 35-year-old Luis Magana of Van Nuys in Los Angeles. His total bail is set at $72,000.
The two were arrested for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and delaying an officer in the performance of their duties, SMPD said. Both had outstanding warrants. Police found George to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and burglary tools.
SMPD did not specify what was inside the packages the suspects allegedly stole.
