Lane closures at major Rockford intersection this weekend

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Rockford will reduce E. State to one lane at the intersection of E. State and Alpine for water main repairs this weekend.

According to the Water Department, beginning Saturday, August 16th, E. State will be reduced to one lane eastbound from Alpine Road to Alder Avenue, and the right turn lane on S. Alpine Road turning east onto E. State will be closed while the area is under construction.

The City is advising motorists to find an alternative route of travel during the work closure.
