Goodbye Wells Fargo Center, hello Xfinity Mobile Arena: venue transitions to new name
PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — The South Philadelphia Sports Complex will now look a little different.

On Thursday, Comcast Spectacor, the owner of the venue now formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center, announced it will operate under its new name, the Xfinity Mobile Arena, effective immediately.

Comcast Spectacor made the naming rights announcement in May. Xfinity Mobile will have naming rights for the sports and entertainment venue through the 2030-2031 season.

The Xfinity Mobile Arena is home to the Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers, Wings, college basketball, and entertainment events.

The company said exterior signage will be revealed in early September.

Before being named the Wells Fargo Center from 2010 to 2025, the venue was previously known as the Wachovia Center from 2003 until 2010, the First Union Center from 1998 to 2003, and the CoreStates Center from its opening in 1996 through 1998.
