Clearer start to sunny, warm Friday in Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A hot Friday to start the weekend before quite the cooldown Saturday and Sunday.

Highs will reach upwards into the low 90s inland before we see highs drop dramatically only into the upper 70s to low 80s Saturday.

The National Weather Service is advising of gusty wind potential at coastal areas, mountain gaps and passes. Strong northwest winds are expected between 20 and 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Officials said to secure outdoor objects, be alert while driving, beware of downed tree limbs and be mindful of activities that could spark a brush fire.

After such a cool weekend, next week will gradually warm back up with temperatures climbing back to the 90s inland, likely by the middle of the week.
