Alamance County man charged a year after shooting into Mebane home, police say

MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) — The Mebane Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with an April 2024 shooting one year later, according to a press release.

On April 21, 2024, at 3:21 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting into an occupied home in the 900 block of Sugar Tree Drive. No injuries were reported in the shooting.

Kyle Johnson, 26, of Alamance County, was charged with one count of felony discharging a firearm into occupied property, eight counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, one misdemeanor count of discharging a firearm within city limits and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency and neglect of a juvenile.

Johnson is currently being held without bond in the Alamance County Jail.
