Two Layton softball fields close due to vandalism, police seek information
LAYTON, Utah (ABC4) — Two softball fields in Layton are closed due to vandalism caused by e-bikes.
According to Layton City, the incident happened at Ellison Park. Officials say that due to the incident, the top cap and subsurface of the ground has been impacted, requiring extensive repairs to restore the field to playable condition.

Officials say they are still looking into who did this. Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the Layton City Police Department.
This is the second such incident reported in Davis County in recent months. In July, several parks, restrooms and public facilities were vandalized, including an incident where a restroom was damaged at the Angel Street Soccer Complex, where a toilet was blown apart.
