Just minutes before midnight on Aug. 11, Montgomery County police officers responded to the 13000 block of Chopin Court for a reported shooting. There, police learned that two teen boys were walking on a path when someone approached them, shooting one of the teens before fleeing, according to Montgomery County police.
Officers found the teen boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh and provided him medical assistance until medics arrived to take him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The teen was conscious and alert, and when officers found him, police noted.
As of Tuesday morning, there is no suspect information available as detectives continue the investigation. It is unclear whether the suspect and the teens knew each other.
