Prosecutors have dismissed a second-degree murder case against a 17-year-old.
In the petition to dismiss the case, prosecutors said they didn’t believe they could prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Minneapolis police responded to the 2400 block of 18th Avenue South on Feb. 6 on a report of a shooting. There, they found Roberto Julian Manzano-Gomez, who had been shot seven times. He died at the hospital.

The 17-year-old is suspected of shooting a man in the face a few days later, on Feb. 11. That victim survived. They are still facing charges in connection with that case.
