IDENTIFIED: Man on scooter killed after hit by semi-truck in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The man killed after being hit by a semi-truck in Fresno on Tuesday was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office identified him as 36-year-old Richard Gomez of Fresno. Gomez died after being hit by a semi-truck at around 7 a.m. while he was riding his scooter.

The crash happened in the area of Gates and Blythe avenues, near Highway 99. Officers report the driver of the semi-truck stayed on the scene.
