CMPD hears community concerns at National Night Out

Koda faithfully served as a dual-purpose patrol and explosive detection canine from 2017 until his retirement in 2023.
Throughout his career, Koda stood on the front lines — tracking suspects, locating evidence and ensuring public safety. Whether it was a late-night call, a high-risk operation or a major public event, officers say Koda’s focus never wavered.

More than a partner, Koda was family. To those who knew him, he was loyal, driven and courageous. His bond with his handler, Officer Tucker, was unbreakable, built on trust, respect and countless hours spent side by side. In 2023, Koda was honorably retired. He traded in his badge for belly rubs, patrols for backyard strolls and lived out his final years surrounded by love. Koda’s legacy lives on — in the lives he protected, the officers he stood beside and the example he set.
