Ortez Owens, 35, of Chicago, faces multiple felony counts, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery. CPD alleges that Owens fatally shot Williams and wounded another teen just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday, April 10, in the 5000 block of W. Maypole Avenue.
The incident was one of three shootings within hours of each other in the Austin neighborhood.

Police have not confirmed that all of the shootings were related.
Owens’ arrest occurred on Sunday, about 14 hours after Williams’ death. All told, Owens faces the following charges:
