Water main break forces Telegraph Road to close in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Fairfax County police officers have blocked off Telegraph Road after a water main break left the street flooded overnight.

Minutes before midnight, the Fairfax County Police Department posted on X that officers were on the scene of a water main break on Telegraph Road in the Lorton area.

According to the Fairfax Water outage map, the leak was reported just before 11 p.m. on Sunday in the 7300 block of Harrogate Ct.

Pictures from the water main break showed water pouring onto the street, leaving the road covered in water.

As crews work on repairs, Telegraph Road at Route 1 will be closed in both directions until further notice.
