Opelousas police probe suspicious death on Newman Street
OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — The Opelousas Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred in the 1200 block of Newman Street.
Officials said officers responded to the location earlier today after receiving a call regarding an unresponsive individual.
When they arrived, officials said they located a deceased individual.
Due to circumstances surrounding the incident, the death is being treated as suspicious.
