SALT LAKE CITY (
ABC4) — One person is in the hospital after he was shot at during an argument in Salt Lake City.
According to Michael Ruff, Detective- Public Relations Unit with Salt Lake City Police said the incident happened at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. They responded to a report of a shooting near 1000 West California Avenue.
Ruff said according to an initial investigation, officials learned that three people were travelling in a pickup truck when they broke into a fight. As the occupants tried to leave the truck, one of the passengers shot the driver and took the truck.
The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries but non-life-threatening injuries, officers said.
Officers say they found the truck abandoned a short time later. Police say they this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time.
No arrests have been made in the case so far as it is currently under investigation.
