KSP: Missing 10-year-old Jackson boy found dead

JACKSON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The body of a missing 10-year-old boy has been found in Breathitt County.

Jayden Spicer disappeared overnight or in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 6, wearing blue “Sonic the Hedgehog” pajamas.

The near week-long search for the missing boy came to an end on Tuesday, Aug. 12, Trooper Matt Gayheart told FOX 56.

He said that troopers discovered a body in a remote area off Canoe Road, around 19 miles away from Spicer’s Panbowl Branch Road home.

Kentucky State Police announced on Tuesday evening that troopers would host a media briefing at 8:30 p.m. at Post 13 in Hazard.
