MANASSAS PARK, Va. (DC News Now) — Virginia State Police issued a CODI Alert for a missing 17-year-old boy who was last seen in Manassas Park Monday morning.
VSP issued the CODI Alert on behalf of the Manassas Park Police Department early Monday morning for 17-year-old Olmer Diaz Cruz, who was last seen just after midnight on Aug. 11, in the 300 block of Moseby Drive in Manassas Park.
Officials described Diaz Cruz as around 6 feet tall, weighing 255 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last spotted wearing a black shirt and gym shorts with no shoes.
State police said they believe Diaz Cruz is on foot and armed with a knife, and that people should not approach him if they see him, but should call 911 instead.
In an update just after 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 11, VSP said Diaz Cruz was found safe, canceling the CODI Alert.
