They are short about seven jailers and would like to hire up to fifteen.
They admit it is not for everyone but they hope to reach the people who it is right for.
Jasmine Taylor is a shift supervisor at the jail and she said, “This is a special type of career, so it takes a special person because any type of law enforcement can have a little stress.”
Al’Kerione Johnson said it can be a rewarding career, he went on to say “I love it. I honestly didn’t think I would, I wanted to be a patrolman at first, but coming here, I recognize this is where God wanted me to be.”
