Cradles to Crayons to donate 75k backpacks

Non-profit Cradles to Crayons will be distributing 75,000 backpacks to kids in Philadelphia heading back to school.

According to the National Retail Federation, families with children in grades K-12 spent an average of $875 on clothing, shoes, school supplies and electronics in 2024. With tariffs impacting the cost of many back-to-school items, it is anticipated that spending this year will grow.
