BOSSIER CITY, La. – With the new school year underway, Bossier City Police are reminding drivers to put safety first in school zones. Officers are urging motorists to slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians and school buses, particularly during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up hours.

Authorities stress that drivers must come to a complete stop when a school bus has flashing red lights and an extended stop arm, keeping at least 30 feet of distance.
