Shreveport police announced that Cadarius Southall and Dandricus Kennedy, both 19 years old, were arrested on Friday, August 8, in connection with the shooting, car theft, and other suspected criminal acts.
Police received an emergency call at 3:31 am on Friday for shots fired at a home located at 3212 Gorton Road. When officers arrived, they found multiple shell casings in the yard and noticed the house had been struck several times by gunfire.
No residents were injured as a result of the shooting.
Residential doorbell camera footage observed by the officers showed two Black males exiting a red Kia Soul, approaching the residence with firearms in hand, and firing several rounds into the home before returning the Kia to flee.
Investigators learned that the Kia was reported stolen on August 7, around 10 p.m. They recovered the stolen car, and both suspects were arrested for the shooting.
Southhall and Kennedy both face single counts of illegal use of a weapon, simple burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and armed robbery.
SPD said both men are also being investigated concerning other crimes reported around the city. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Shreveport Police Department or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Crime Stoppers tips are anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
