Major-injury crash in Bay Area; motorcyclist airlifted to hospital

(KRON) — A motorcyclist suffered moderate to major injuries in a crash with a truck on La Honda Road, east of Stage Road, in San Mateo County Saturday, according to Cal Fire.

The motorcyclist was taken to a landing zone by ambulance and flown to a local trauma hospital by helicopter.

Cal Fire, the San Mateo County Fire Department, the La Honda Fire Brigade, the California Highway Patrol and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
