Vernon Parish Sheriff makes arrests for assault, stalking

LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) -The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced three recent arrests on charges ranging from simple assault to molestation of a juvenile.

On August 2, deputies arrested Bradley Shane Johnson, 54, of Pitkin, on one count of simple assault. His bond was set at $1,281. Johnson posted bond and was released.

Michael Alexander McClendon, 37, of Leesville, was arrested by VPSO on July 25 on one count of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, one count of disturbing the peace, and one count of stalking. He was arrested again on August 5 on a separate stalking charge. Bond has not been set in either case, and McClendon remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.

Also on August 5, Brandon Kol Trahan, 31, of Leesville, was arrested on one count of molestation of a juvenile. Bond has not been set, and Trahan remains in jail.

Sheriff Sam Craft said all three arrests were the result of ongoing investigations by the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.
