CeeLo Green, born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, began his career in the early 1990s as a founding member of the Southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob, part of the Atlanta-based Dungeon Family collective. He later formed the genre-blending duo Gnarls Barkley with producer Danger Mouse. Their 2006 single “Crazy” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned critical acclaim, including a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance.
Green launched his solo career in the early 2000s and achieved mainstream success with the 2010 hit “F*** You”, featured on his third solo album The Lady Killer. The song won a Grammy Award in 2011 and reached the Top 10 in multiple countries. Over the course of his career, Green has received five Grammy Awards and released several albums across hip-hop, R&B, soul, and pop genres.
Green will take the stage at Hard Rock Live, located inside the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, on Friday, August 15th at 7 p.m.
