Victim of fatal train crash on Norris Ferry Road identified by Caddo Parish Coroner

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Caddo Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a pedestrian fatality that happened early Monday in South Caddo Parish.

According to a release from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred shortly after 4:00 a.m. on the railroad tracks along Norris Ferry Road, just south of Overton Brooks Road, outside Shreveport.

The Caddo Parish Coroner identified Parker Leeth, 34, as the victim in this tragic incident.

Deputies reported that witnesses saw a man on the tracks as a train was approaching. The train attempted to stop but was unable to do so in time, resulting in a fatal collision with the individual.
