St. Paul police investigating overnight homicide outside Midway Saloon, suspect in custody

St. Paul police announced they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight outside Midway Saloon.

Officers responded to the shooting just after midnight and found both the victim and suspect.

The victim, a man, had been shot in his upper torso. Despite first aid, police say they were notified of the victim’s death at the hospital around 4 a.m.

The suspect stayed at the scene and was arrested.

This is St. Paul’s seventh homicide of the year.
