Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the charges against 35-year-old Kristina Miller of McKean County on Tuesday.
Miller worked at FCI Forest from 2020 to 2023 with the attorney general’s office, saying she would send inmates’ personal information from the prison database to another person as part of a larger financial fraud scheme, all while allegedly having a sexual relationship with at least three inmates.
Both federal and Pennsylvania law prohibit any sexual contact between prisoners and corrections officers. The number of identities stolen and alleged co-conspirators wasn’t disclosed.
“Corrections officers are critical public servants essential to maintaining the integrity and security of our prison and jail systems,” Attorney General Sunday said. “This defendant is accused of abusing her position of authority while engaging in multiple criminal acts. This conduct violated the trust placed in her to protect her community and can undermine the integrity of our correctional institutions.”
Miller is facing felony counts of institutional sexual assault and unlawful use of a computer, and several misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit identity theft and conspiracy to commit theft by deception. She was arraigned Wednesday, with bail was set at $100,000 unsecured.
