Anthony Tyrone Minor, 21, and Jaquarious Michael Guillory, 23, were arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to distribute schedule I (Marijuana).
According to authorities the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office initiated an undercover operation which led them to the Park Food Mart on West Park Avenue in Opelousas.
Officials said, they observed the men as they moved to another business located at South Washington Street and West Park Avenue. Officials said as they attempted to arrest the men Minor began to ram the Sheriff’s Office vehicle in an attempt to escape.
Authorities said they made forced entry into Minor’s vehicle and arrested him without further incident or injury. Guillory, who was the passenger in the vehicle was also taken into custody at that time.
Officials said narcotics, a scale and a Sig 9mm pistol that was reported stolen from Calcasieu Parish were all seized.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are expected
