Rockford man accused of holding a woman at knifepoint
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Corey Jackson, 27, for allegedly holding a woman at knifepoint, among other charges.

Officers were called to the 3700 block of Normandy Avenue for reports of domestic violence on August 4, around 5:30 p.m. The woman told authorities that Jackson strangled her in a home on 7th Street.

He proceeded to hold the victim at knifepoint and say, “I will kill you,” according to court records.

Officials found the suspect walking on Robey Avenue and took him into custody after a struggle.

Jackson is charged with aggravated assault while using a deadly weapon, aggravated domestic battery that caused strangulation, home invasion that caused injury and resisting an officer.

He was granted pretrial release on August 5.
