We’ll hold on to a Flood Watch east of Uptown for Stanly, Anson, and Richmond counties through Wednesday evening until 12 a.m. Thursday morning.
Temperatures are in the low to mid-60s on Wednesday morning with mostly cloudy skies and patchy fog developing as the showers move in. Wet roadways and the potential for flooding will impact your morning commute yet again.

Look for the heaviest rain to move in late morning and early afternoon, then shift east as we head into the second half of today. We can see an additional inch in some spots, if not more, with drier conditions settling in on Wednesday evening.
Highs will peak in the mid-70s before we dip into the 60s yet again overnight. We can’t rule out a few peaks of sunshine before sunset as winds stay light out of the north-northeast.
Thursday will rebound into the upper 70s as we warm up heading into the weekend. The 80s return Friday as afternoon showers and storms plague the forecast to end the workweek.

This weekend will be in the low to mid-80s with partly cloudy skies and summer-like storms possible. The upper 80s and low 90s will return early next week as the heat gets set to return to the Carolinas.
